"My Mother, brother & I landed in Phoenix in 1976 with a suitcase full of hopes and dreams. Hayden Rd was made of dirt. In every direction it seemed there was room to grow. Decades later, this potential has not withered, but in fact, has only been strengthened and more clearly defined. Like seeing a distant galaxy using the latest technology, its scope inspires awe and provokes wonder as never before." 1962 - Born David Scott Elton - Hazleton, Pa. 1976 - Relocated to Arizona 1978 -1980 Excelled in writing, filmmaking, entertainment & golf in high school. Youngest sports correspondent in the Valley for the Scottsdale Progress newspaper. 1980-1982 Graduated from Scottsdale Saguaro High School, attended Arizona State. Won the first annual Copper State Film Festival featuring entries from across Arizona. 1984 Received Bachelor of Arts in screenwriting from San Francisco State. Promptly moved to Los Angeles and began working in the entertainment business. 1993-1999 Co-wrote, produced and directed the critically acclaimed independent feature film 'Jerome' which had its world premiere at the Camelview 5 theaters in downtown Scottsdale. 2000 Exhibit of black and white photographs spanning almost a decade entitled 'Passion in Monogamy' opened at City Gallery in L.A.'s eclectic Los Feliz district. It was Dave's third and most successful show with a portion of all proceeds benefiting the Hollywood Education and Literacy Project (H.E.L.P.). 2000- Became licensed Realtor in California and Arizona. Began locating builders throughout the southwest interested in the family builder leaseback program. In his first year, Dave placed over $5,000,000 into escrow, oversaw the design of EltonRealty.com, forged new relationships with local homebuilders, (see Investment Properties), and met many new clients that he now counts as friends. "Ironically, my years in independent filmmaking have proved invaluable in the transition to being a Realtor. To best serve client needs one has to be resourceful and knowledgeable in a variety of areas: Marketing, negotiation, building relationships, having a vision, communication, creative solutions and going the extra mile to make sure everything gets done correctly and on time. Whether it's structuring a deal, or helping with remodeling details for my out-of-town sellers, or crunching labor budgets for relocating Buyer's. I do it all. That's been my experience for over twenty years and what I bring to each transaction and each client, everyday. To help my clients realize a lifelong dream of owning a home, and to be a part of that and earn a living, that's perhaps the greatest gift." Dave is married with two inspiring children. Interests include: playing with the kids, movies, sharing a good book, family photo safaris, golf, bike rides, racquetball, blueberry-banana smoothies and pursuing dreams.
